about 2:23 am tonight...should be spectacular..the sky is clear...we were going to drive over to cocoa beach but the spring breakers and other traffic concerns made us decide to just look east...it will light up like a roman candle..I have my camera set on night shots for fireworks..that ought to do it I hope..

I set my phone alarm..and it went off at 2:15..in time for me to put on my shoes...grab my camera...run outside to see a cloud bank that totally coverd up the launch...how sucky is that?

You were expecting fireworks at a shuttle launch, eh? How January 1986 of you.
I wanted to be an austronaut before that black day. After that it was fireman for a few years. Thought it'd be less likely to get me killed.

I had a classroom of kindergarteners watching on the playground when that happened. It was a nightmare.

You so funny Mummy!!! Actually it really bothered me too. I think after 9/11 Americans are desensitized to many tragedies.
